Silvia Hansen-Schirra is Professor of English Linguistics and Translation Studies at the Faculty of Translation Studies, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Throughout her scientific career she has been able to position herself at the leading edge of computational translation processing, making a lasting impact on the research groups she has worked with, and advancing the frontier of science in her fields of specialization. She has managed to acquire several large-scale research projects and received a huge amount of third-party funds.
